So you would like to be a movie extra or TV extra!   This is GREAT!

background actor or extra is a performer in a film, television show, stage, musical, opera or ballet production, who appears in a nonspeaking or nonsinging (silent) capacity, usually in the background (for example, in an audience or busy street scene). ... In opera and ballet, they are called either "extras" or "supers".

What do you do?  How much do you get paid?  How many hours do you work?  Where are the scenes shot?  Can my children also be an extra?  What about my pets?  These and more are questions that people ask of me and others who are classified as Background Extras also known as Background Celebrities!  Name which was coined from Actor James Gordon..  I would always use the term Background Extra Actress Enhancer, because that's what we do.  We as Extra Celebrities Enhance the Stars!

Being a Background Celebrity is Hard Work!!  Take My Word  on it!  Rewarding?  Yes!  Exciting?  Yes!  Networking?  Priceless!  You must have patience and plenty of TIME to do this work!

Never pay! Extras are hired employees and are paid by the production. No legitimate casting agency or talent agency will ask you to pay a fee in order to get work. Any agency that asks you is a sham. Also avoid agencies that want you to pay for photo packages, lessons on being an extra, or booking fees.

Tune in and Call in and ask questions with MoeTalk one of many Background Celebrities!
