Taylor Publications was  established by James H. Taylor and Marva Taylor, husband and wife.  The Kankakee City News was founded on July 2, 1972, in Pembroke Township, Kankakee, County, Illinois.  Currently, Taylor Publications  publishes both the Kankakee City News and the Joliet City News!
