The Environmental Justice Report with Jeanine Molloff THANKSGIVING SHOW

This week on the Environmental Justice Report, I will talk about the people and events which bring me gratitude. I have heard from many apologists who refuse to face the ugly reality about Thanksgiving, namely that it is a holiday that celebrates how white men instituted a genocide against indigenous people of color in the name of various European monarchs. This genocide was the beginning of a massive land theft--again for the rich, titled and privileged.  I have been told by closet racists thatThanksgiving celebrates our 'blessings' as migrant Englishmen celebrated a friendship with the same indigenous people that they will displace.  So--in the spirit of celebrating blessings--I am going to speak about the blessing of strong progressive movements--and especially of individuals who have risked life and limb in the name of true justice. This show is dedicated to those progressive heroes and sheroes.
