This week on our Sunday report, Jeanine will cover the ongoing saga of yet another Republican Governor who eagerly seeks to abuse power. Missouri Governor Mike Parson is seeking criminal charges of 'hacking' against St. Louis Post-Dispatch journalist Josh Renaud. Renaud wrote a piece exposing a major data security risk involving the Social Security numbers of some 100,000 Missouri teachers. The journalist contacted the Missouri DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) to alert them to this issue. He also withheld publication of the piece until the site was taken down. The data security issue was found in the HTML code which is not encrypted. No one would have known of this dangerous exposure is this reporter had not pursued this story.

Now Governor Parson is demanding criminal prosecution of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter and any others who assisted in developing this story. Parson is accusing them of 'hacking' though the governor clearly has no idea what he is talking about.

The DESE Commissioner Margie Vandeeven has limited comment on this issue.
