Jeffrey D. Swan holds a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from U.T Austin. He has been using the Nurtured Heart Approach for 15 years and is an Advanced Nurtured Heart Trainer. 

Dr. Elizabeth Sylvester is a Psychologist and Educator working with children, parents and families in Austin Texas for over 30 years. She is a practitioner of the Nurtured Heart Approach ®, and has completed advanced training in this system.

They are co-founders of Austin Child Therapy, an organization whose mission is to support the work of pediatric mental health professionals in Austin.  A full bio can be found here. 

Joe and Celeste Elsey

Joe and Celeste Elsey, both NHA ATs have been married for 31 years and have used the approach with their family for the past 8 years.  They enjoy open and honest relationships with their immediate family members and with each other. Extended family relationships have also become stronger with use of NHA.  Joe has worked for State Farm Insurance for many years and his use of positive recognition and refusing to give energy to negativity have earned him praise for a job well done.  Celeste currently works in Alternative Education and trains students as well as educators in the approach.  Joe and Celeste agree that NHA is a precious gift that has improved their quality of life and the lives of others around them.
