Entelodonts,Hyaenodon,Paleocene,Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum (PETM),Eocene,Oligocene, Billy Meier
The Eocene era is characterized by the advent of the modern mammalian orders. The Eocene epoch, lasting from 56 to 33.9 million years ago, is a major division of the geologic timescale. The name Eocene comes from the Greek (eos, dawn) and (kainos, new) and refers to the "dawn" of modern ('new') fauna that appeared during the epoch. At about the beginning of the Eocene Epoch, the amount of oxygen in the earth's atmosphere more or less doubled.
