Psyche is the name for the half-material block and factor, which, in the material body of a form of life - in this case, the human - organises and administers, within itself, in a negative or positive sequence, the thoughts and feelings of the material consciousness, from which results a negative or positive imbalance or a neutral-positive equilibrium, whereby the human is then simply negatively or positively out of balance or neutrally-positively balanced. Consciousness is the quality or state of being aware of an external object or something within oneself. It has been defined as: sentience, awareness, subjectivity, the ability to experience or to feel, wakefulness, having a sense of self-hood, and the executive control system of the mind. Despite the difficulty in definition, many philosophers believe that there is a broadly shared underlying intuition about what consciousness is.
