Depressions are based on acquired flattened feelings, which unambiguously, and without any doubt, are determined by a conscious or unconscious negative thinking. If negative thinking occurs, and stabilises or deepens, then it is unavoidable, and there is no chance that positive thinking can still come about. Positive thoughts must be learnt, and indeed by every human being, because they are not simply given to anyone. Depression is a state of low mood and aversion to activity that can affect a person's thoughts, behavior, feelings. I speculate that the flattening of feelings means the removal of any highs.
