Paul Lawrence Vann hosts The Wealthy Speaker Show and is inspired to bring positive messages to all listeners, inclined to elevate their wisdom and knowledge on life and living life more abundantly. Our guest for this episode is none other than Collective Voices.

 

J. Joy "Sistah Joy" Matthews, S. Dianne "Lady Di" Beverly and Andre Taylor "Bernado" celebrate the majesty of poetry in celebration of Black History Month. Collective Voices continues to be on the cutting edge of the art form that is poetry in the District, Maryland, Virginia (DMV). 

Collective Voices is an ensemble of poets consisting of J. Joy Alford (Sistah Joy), Sylvia Dianne Beverly (Ladi Di) and Andre Taylor (Brenardo). Each member is a native of Washington, DC and each has been a member of Poets In Progress (PIP), under the leadership of The Poet Laureate of the District of Columbia, Dolores Kendrick, reading at Folger's Shakespeare Library. Last Fall they were part of the Library of Congress Experience, "the Poet and the Poem" interviewed by Poet Grace Cavalieri. Since then Collective Voices Poetry Ensemble has presented its original works at poetry readings and other literary events at bookstores, libraries, schools, colleges and universities, churches, art galleries, radio stations, and local cable television stations.nce of dynamic, soul stirring poetry. Collective voises have performed at the Library of Congress, Martin Luther King Library in Washington, DC and at local venues such as Oxon Hill Library, churches, nonprofits and bookstores.
