Is Capitalism the best economic system in the world today?

Like every other forms of economic system, it has its major flaws and weaknesses. It promotes greed, corporate welfare, instigate war between the various socio-economic classes and it is heartless/soul-less always choosing profits over people. 

What are your views of Capitalism? How do you feel about the 1% who controls most of the world's wealth? Scandinavia has a different economic model that seem to work fine for them. Could their system ever work in America? Do you think America is on the decline economically, socially and politically? Every Empire has their moment in the sun. Is America's reign as THE world leader coming to an end? Which country could take over as main influence if America falls from grace? Whose fault would it be if that happened? Democrats? Republicans? Both political establishments?
