For Colored Girls: The Movie and It's Impact on Black Life

By now many of us have seen acclaimed director and playright, Tyler Perry's latest movie, "For Colored Girls" which is an adaptation from the original play by Ntozake Shange written in 1975. It was a critical play written during an auspicious time in the history of Black women in America.
