As we look to rise above difficult times, TedX speaker Alex Montoya has a message about overcoming adversity; defeating obstacles; and embracing the American spirit.
He has written eight books – including a children’s book - and his company, A-MOtivational Communications, creates inspiring in-person and virtual talks. In 2020 he also launched The Alex Montoya Podcast and The Alex Montoya Foundation to promote inclusion of disability and immigrant communities.
He has won a “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the San Diego Hispanic Chamber; was given a Medal of Honor from the Colombian government; and carried the Olympic Torch in 1996. He has delivered his message for audiences including Google, NASA, Harvard, and the NFL’s Denver Broncos. Alex earned his Bachelor Degree at the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s from the University of San Francisco. Here to tell his story is Alex Montoya!
