Preachers should teach health reform, but they should not make it their leading theme—The health reform is closely connected with the work of the third message, yet it is not the message. Our preachers should teach the health reform, yet they should not make this the leading theme in the place of the message. Its place is among those subjects which set forth the preparatory work to meet the events brought to view by the message; among these it is prominent.—The Review and Herald, May 7, 1914. PaM 71.3
Some ministers have little interest in health reform because it opposes their self-indulgence—Why do some of our ministering brethren manifest so little interest in health reform? It is because instruction on temperance in all things is opposed to their practice of self-indulgence. In some places this has been the great stumbling block in the way of our bringing the people to investigate and practice and teach health reform. No man should be set apart as a teacher of the people while his own teaching or example contradicts the testimony God has given His servants to bear in regard to diet, for this will bring confusion. His disregard of health reform unfits him to stand as the Lord’s messenger.—Counsels on Diet and Foods, 453. PaM 72.1

Working Righteousness Isaiah's Prophetic Book Pt215 Battle Lines

Working Righteousness - A righteous God, demands righteousness and for Christians today, our actions and all we do should be to be found in #ChristJesus unto #goodworks that is connected to our faith. For without faith, we cannot please #God. Even #Israel not only had to follow the law, but they also had to have #faith. A commodity that many had trouble with. We also find other New Testament ideals that we use to today, which #Isaiah writes about. These include the fact that "we have sinned", "we are as an unclean thing", "because of our iniquities", "all our righteousness as filthy rags", "we do fade as a leaf", "thou art our Father", "we are the clay", "thou art the Potter", "we are the work of thy hand", and "we shall be saved." These common phrases we find in Isaiah also have a place in the gospel and the New Testament. The #Apostles taught these principles and more, many more which are found in the #OldTestament [Tanakh] and confirmed again in the #NewTestament. It is also true as #Christianbelievers and as Isaiah said, "But Now O #LORD, thou art our #father; we are the #clay, and thou our #potter; and we all are the work of thy hand -Isaiah 64:8." #WorkingRighteousness
