“Ellen Winner practices shamanic healing and teaches core shamanism for the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. Core shamanism consists of universal, near-universal, and common features of shamanism, together with journeys to other worlds. This is a form of shamanism developed by Dr. Michael Harner, an anthropologist who was initiated into their shamanic traditions by indigenous shamans of many different cultures. Over the past thirty years Dr. Harner and the Foundation for Shamanic studies have been teaching these shamanic techniques to western students in an experiential format allowing students to make direct contact with compassionate spirit helpers in nonordinary reality. Ellen Winner speaks about Core Shamanism.
