As we await the Supreme Court decision about Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. and Conestoga Wood Specialties v. Sebelius, this is a great to listen to a rebroadcast of an interview with Rev. Debra Haffner. Rev Debra Haffner stands for religious liberty and the right of women to make thoughtful decisions about whether and when to use contraception.
The Reverend Debra W. Haffner is Co-founder and President of Religious Institute, Inc. An ordained Unitarian Universalist minister. Founded in 2001, the Religious Institute is a multifaith organization dedicated to advocating for sexual health, education, and justice in faith communities and society. The Religious Institute has emerged as the national leadership organization working at the intersection of sexuality and religion. On March 25th in Washington, DC the Religious Institute joined with other faith organizations to raise a faithful voice in support of equitable access to affordable birth control before oral arguments in the historic Supreme Court case regarding the Affordable Care Act’s contraceptive coverage rule. Following the faith rally, groups marched to the court.
Rev. Haffner is the author of From Diapers to Dating: A Parent’s Guide to Raising Sexually Healthy Children and other books.
