Tomorrow is Fathers' Day, and holidays are triggering times for those of us who had children taken. We all know mothers and fathers who really went that extra mile, and I bet all of us have relatives who weren't exactly the stand-up folks we needed at those strategic moments when a life lesson presented itself that we needed to get through.

Have you ever thought about your estrangement as a repeat bump in your own personal journey, part of a pattern of failed connections? It would be great if life was a game of solitaire and depended only upon our own choices and ability to learn from mistakes. But people need other people in our lives to make good choices and help us out along the way: it's just part of being human. Maybe tonight's show will help you recognize patterns in your life that you can change for the better.
