The Militarization of Police in the U.S: Is This the Rise of the Fourth Reich?

Law enforcement is supposed to use the minimum force necessary to accomplish its objectives, but increasingly we see the maximum force being used.  Why?  Some examples in the last few weeks:

• Atlanta swat team threw a flash grenade into a house critically wounding a one-year-old child.
• In Albuquerque a homeless man was shot in the back by police.
• May 20th in Salina, CA, a migrant farm worker, Carlos Mejia, was shot more than five times while he was backing away, killing him.
• May ll, five California Highway Patrol officers in Imperial County, CA, beat to death Tommy Yancy, a vet. suffering from PTSD.

And the list goes on....  Why is this happening, and where are we headed as a society?  We will explore these issues and more during this broadcast.
