Channelle’s love for fashion started when she was a kid. She would often cut up old clothes to make clothes for her dolls. Growing up in the Poconos, Channelle took sewing classes in middle school and fell in love. She couldn't wait to graduate and move to a big city to go to school for fashion and once she graduated high school she did just that. She moved to Philly to study fashion at Philadelphia University. Upon graduating, Channelle worked in retail management which isn't where she wanted to be but #1 it got the bills paid #2 she knew people didn’t always get their dream job right out of college and #3 her dream job wasn't working for anyone but herself. But her life changed when she became pregnant with her son Chance in 2013. She quickly realized there was a huge void in the market for little boys apparel. The mothers of little girls had countless boutiques they could shop at to find the perfect outfit for a special occasion so why didn’t the mothers of little boys have the same? It just didn't seem fair and inspired Channelle to start My Little Gent, a high fashion clothing line dedicated specifically to little boys. My Little Gent has been received well and the number one reaction from mothers is "finally something for boys!" which Channelle loves. She is happy to finally be designing and sewing again and little did she know, Channelle is in love with what she created and she loves even more so that her son Chance gets to be a part of it all. This year Channelle recently added another addition to her family, a little girl she named Ca'ri, and that hasn’t slowed her down at all. My Little Gent will be featured in both Atlantic City Fashion Week and Philly Fashion Week in September and outside of My Little Gent Channelle. You can check out her clothing line My Little Gent at www.mylittlegent.com or on Instagram @mylittlegent.
