Janet Davenport is an executive coach, a minister, and strategic communications expert. She helps changemakers work and live with passion and purpose. She adamantly believes this is the point of their personal and professional power. She partners with leaders from the corporate, nonprofit and faith communities to address issues such as stress reduction, self-care, change management, leadership development, and communications and branding strategy.
Janet brings more than 30 years of leadership, including executive experience, spanning the media, nonprofit and higher education industries. She served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Becker College, a liberal arts college in Worcester, Mass., and was the Vice-President of Communications at Universal Health Care Foundation of Connecticut.
A former editorial page editor and writer, and reporter, Janet’s contributions to journalism and the communications profession have garnered numerous awards and recognitions. Janet is a minister at Redeemer’s A.M.E. Zion Church in Plainville, Conn., where she also serves as the director of spiritual formation. She is a professionally certified coach (PCC) through the Coach Training Alliance and a graduate of Hartford Seminary in Connecticut where she studied spiritual formation and transformational leadership. She attended Boston University and has a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin.
