Children in Cages! What can we do??

The recent presidential debate brought up the discussion of "children in cages" at the mexican border.  Many people are expressing how wrong this is and asking why this situation has not been corrected.  No one wants to see children suffer and that is what comes to mind when we think of the situation at the border.  Is there anything we can do individuallly to end this situation? Is there a spiritual or metaphysical solution?  How can we reduce or anxiety and stress about this?
