Delores Daaimah Jardan is an 87-year-old Muslim American woman who has written an outstanding book that intimately shares the intricacies of both her biological family and her spiritual family in her powerful memoir, "Etched Into My Soul."

She is the widow of Ronald X Stokes, who was killed by Los Angeles police during a raid on the Los Angeles Muslim Temple on April 27th, 1962.

Born into a family that converted to Islam during her childhood, Jardan's life experiences are deeply intertwined with the growth of the Los Angeles Muslim community.
