Jonathan D. Lovitz is an accomplished stage & screen actor and community advocate perhaps best known for his seasons on MTV Networks' “Setup Squad" and "1 Girl 5 Gays" as well as a host & interviewer for MTV, NPR, BroadwayTV, The Red Carpet Network, VitaminShoppeTV and more. As a gay rights advocate, Jonathan travels the country speaking out for marriage equality, LGBTQ youth issues, and positive exposure for the community-- especially in the worlds of business and education. He is also a passionate supporter of arts education and often teaches theatre/dance masterclasses at universities and high schools nationwide, always finding a way to integrate messages of equality & acceptance with his students.
Jonathan graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida in 2006 and has been on an incredible journey ever since. He continues to spearhead events and activities that benefit the gay community nationwide, including his college speaking tour, appearances at Pride ceremonies across America, and campaigns with groups including The Trevor Project, GLAAD, Campus Pride, the NGLCC, and Freedom to Marry. He has been featured extensively for his work in magazines like Out, The Advocate, Instinct, and InTouch-- and has spoken out for the community on MSNBC, NPR, and countless online publications.
Jonathan's lengthy career as a performer includes multiple Broadway national tours, regional theatre premiers throughout the US and Europe, as well as commercials and ads running worldwide.
