Ever notice that when a child wants something that what they want is always understood? It's because they always say what they exactly want. Somehow as we get older we get away from that and learn to play mind games, be abstract and somehow learn all the techniques of miscommunication. How come?
Men and women complain all the time that they do not understand each other and that they feel like they need to try to be mind readers. In the wake of all this, the thing we were trying to get often gets lost in translation.
Could it be fear of rejection that does this to us? Could it be intimidation? Could it be that we think other people are stupid? Is it that we think that we are too complex to be understood? Whatever the case is, wouldn't it be nice to be understood and eliminate all the confusion for a change?
We could probably reach our goals if we just study our children and take into account that they simply ask for what they want and if asked what they like, they will just tell you.
Now lets us try that on Saturday.
