There is a difference between not speaking to your dad because he wasn't there for you and not speaking to him because of what he did while he WAS there.

If your dad was never in your life and your are not speaking to him, does it matter? Can you stop speaking to someone that doesn't give you the opportunity to speak to him in the 1st place?

What are some of the things that a father could do to make you stop speaking to him and is it really worth it? Would we carry that negative energy over to our kids? Would it affect the way that they deal with their dads?
