People from the north go down south in search of a better life while the ones who stay risk continuing their lives and possibly being incarcerated. Of course not everyone who stays up north, on the east coast, west coast and midwest is involved in crime, but there is something that makes people stay where they are from and there is something that makes people leave from where they were born to a place where they will have better opportunities. Why does it seem like so many people coontinue to move to the southern states to have a better life? Where do people from down south move to improve their situation?
When we say that the bad go upstate, we're really talking about people who may become involved with crime because of desperation. Desperation because of poverty, lack of education, job opportunities, greed, ignorance etc.. Is the growing lack of resources increasing our crime rate, or is there something else that's at work?
Let's look at it hard today.
