How Far Can a Man Go To Protect His Woman?

When a man is out on a date, or anywhere in public, is he obligated oprotect his woman at all costs? It seems like a fair deal to me, but I can see how it could have limitations and consequences. Is it the case where a man is supposed to protect his woman as a unit, or can circumstances determine if he should physically get involved? What if the threat is against another woman? What about in reverse? Should a woman get involved in a man's fight, if she perceives that he is in danger, or is getting jumped? Are a man and a woman supposed to be a an army of 2 when they are in the war of the public? Let's talk.
