In the UK, father's have no legal rights in regard to their children; the father's role and responsibility as a parent is not assumed in law, and when (as happens more and more frequently) relationships and families break down, the father has no basic right to contact his children or have involvement in any part in their upbringing; their education, health issues and where they live are primary concerns in which the father has no say.
