In Sept. 2006, Martin Spinelli's life was transformed when a trucker who fell asleep at the wheel killed his wife and nearly killed his 4-year-old son Lio.

Originally from New Jersey, Martin Spinelli is a radio producer, writer and professor. His most important and rewarding job is being a father to his son, Lio Spinelli.

Martin discusses how his son Lio pulled himself back from the edge of death and deals with the loss of his mother.
