On November 9, 1994, Farah Baquer Fratta was murdered in her garage in Humble, Texas a suburb of Houston.  Her killer was a an 18-year old hired through a middle man by her estranged husband, Robert Alan Fratta.  Fratta, a bodybuilder and former Missouri City public safety officer, was angered by the couple’s pending divorce, his child support obligations and allegations made by Farah in the divorce proceedings.  Join Lisa O’Brien and Michael Carnahan on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at 8:00 p.m. Central for Clear and Convincing, Episode 13, State of Texas v. Joseph Andrew Prystash and Howard Paul Guidry.  In Part 2, we’ll talk about the Fratta’s co-defendants, Prystash and Guidry, who carried out the murder‑for‑hire.   We’ll review the evidence against Prystash and Guidry, their trials, direct appeals and post-conviction claims, including the grant of federal habeas relief to Guidry in 2003.  Then, we’ll talk about Guidry’s 2007 re-trial, direct appeal and post-conviction claims. Finally, we’ll talk about the impact on Farah’s children, Bradley, Daniel and Amber.
