John is a poet. Not a very good one, maybe, he thinks, but he is a very good guy who writes poetry. John is also a 10 year veteran of the Chicago poetry slam and open mic scenes and is friends with some of the best poets and spoken word artists in the known universe. All of it. He also wrote a book about being a poet who follows Jesus in a place where lots of people don't care to. It's very interesting. I recommend reading it. John has been instrumental in the vision and shaping of the Sacrificial Poet Project from it's very inception. Even before it's inception. Pre-inception, if you will. He is one poet who really knows how to promote faith conversations through the art of spoken word poetry without inflicting egotistical carnage on unsuspecting poets in the name of truth.
