Our March Sponsor & Guests - Composer Jim Papoulis co-founded the Foundation for Small Voices, which was officially launched with its first Sounds of a Better World concert at Carnegie Hall in January 2000.  FSV is greatly inspired by Jim’s dedication to children and music.  In addition to teaching songwriting workshops globally for FSV, he donates his composer royalties back to FSV, in addition to a significant portion of his time and talent to children by composing music with and for them that can be enjoyed by many.  Sophia Papoulis is a conductor, choral clinician, and music educator, and is honored to serve as Creative Director for the Foundation for Small Voices.  After becoming familiar with FSV through a songwriting workshop in 2006, she began volunteering with the organization when she first moved to New York City in the fall of 2007.  She has since been involved in several capacities, both artistic and operational: volunteering with the Holiday Gift Drive; serving as conductor for several events throughout New York City and the United States; recording and producing music in the FSV studio; and taking on administrative and programmatic responsibilities.  In April of 2013, she joined the FSV Board of Directors, and within the following year, took on the role of Creative Director of the organization, donating her time and talent to further FSV’s musical endeavors. www.foundationforsmallvoices.org
