Joe is flying solo as Thanksgiving approaches and is joined Pet Berisha (@PetBerisha), who covers the intersections between sports and Web3 in his newsletter Sporting Crypto. He shares the genesis for the newsletter as well as how he gathers his content every week. He explains the volatile nature of reporting on such an ever-changing industry and how he distinguishes the legitimate storylines from the flimsier ones. Joe and Pet explore the bigger picture of FTX’s collapse within sports and how he would advise sports brands looking to partner with companies in the Web3 space. They finish up by looking at what sports brands have done well as they enter Web3 for the first time and what to avoid to increase the likelihood of success in an unfamiliar realm. The CUSP Show is a production by the faculty of Sports Management at Columbia University. You can get in touch with the program on Twitter @CU_SPS_Sports.
