It has been an emotional week for America... with Ferguson, MO seeming to be the centere point of discussion, controversy, disappointment, rejoice, and anger. Since August, protest have been held throughout the nation and then bleed into the beginning of "Black Friday." Now the seasons and mentality has changed, as we journey in the winter holiday season, where is the thought of Peace, Joy, and Goodwill? I think a lot of people's perspectives has changed...
How about YOU? Since the decision in Ferguson to not indict Wilson, how has this "FX" YOU? Has this changed your decision about how to prepare for or celebrate the holiday season? Has this changed how YOU see the concept of justice in America?
Also, with the holiday season in progress there is a new movie coming out called "Exodus: Gods and Kings" which features controversy and drama before the movie is released. "...the main characters are white and everyone else African (people of color) are slaves..."
Should people of color be disappointed with Ridley Scott's choice of actors? Is it "creating a piece of historical 'art' that carries on oppressive imagery that’s helped shackle entire countries and corners of the world"?
