Beginning with the first modern-day legal system, the scales of justice have been used to symbolize the balance between truth and fairness sought after in the justice system. Along with the concept of truth and fairness, the image is also used to depict the balance between the support and opposition a case has, with "Lady Justice" responsible for weighing the two and reaching a fair and just verdict. As each side presents evidence and argument, the scales tip to one side or the other. The judge, or jury, is responsible for determining which side is heavier when all the evidence and argument has been presented. Now, it seems the concept of truth, fairness, and just verdict has become a vessel of corruption (cover up) and justified homocide... Since the recent decesions in MO. and NY. there has been a vast outcry for "justice" and to end the killings of Americans (especially Black people) by the hands of those whom are trusted to protect the people. Now it is time to find strategy with thoughtful planning to make changes that are fair and obtainable by both the community and the police. Tonight on The GreenHouse FX, we will begin to examine the problems of communication with the police, the reasoning that resulted in a no indictment decision by the grand jury of Mo and NY, and a look at this issue that has exist in Chicago for a long time.
