Today on Talk of the Town we will be discussing independent artist who present themselves as major artist or try to live the lifestyle of a major artist.
Why do some independent artists feel they have to present themselves as major artist? Do the label of being a local artist or indy artist put a damper on how independent artists feel people think about them (example: my music isnt good enough, they wont buy my albums, or can not get any shows)? Why do some artists feel the lifestyle of a major artist is the way to live? Why do some independent artists feel as though name dropping will help them by telling people who they know or met? Why do some feel as though they have to hide the fact of having a job?
