A) The Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks said in a statement a woman was found dead on a trail near West Yellowstone. Based on what investigators determined were grizzly bear tracks at the scene. You never know what is going to happen in the woods, especially by yourself.

B) An unarmed man, Jadarrius Rose, 23, of Tennessee was mauled by a police dog in Ohio after he had already surrendered to authorities with his hands up following a high-speed car chase (wrong it was a tractor-trailer & he was driving @ the speed limit) through multiple counties earlier this month, according to newly released body camera footage. He failed to stop for a vehicle inspection by an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper on July 4. The footage, through a public records request, shows state troopers giving the dog’s handling officer several warnings to not release the dog as he surrendered with his hands in the air. Although Rose appeared to comply with authorities in the video, a Circleville K9-handling police officer is seen releasing the dog and commanding the dog to attack Rose. A Racist dog attack?

C) Bizarre Things People Used To Believe About Raising Children

Parenting styles have evolved quite a bit over time, thanks to changing attitudes about child-rearing. Many of these changes can be attributed to advancements in modern science, as well as psychology.

Some of the child-raising techniques employed by parents of days gone by would horrify the parents of the 21st century. Many parenting techniques that were considered to be the standard just a couple generations ago, do not only seem completely bizarre these days, but in some cases, would be considered borderline child abuse.
