Today on The Neil Haley Show, Neil "The Media Giant" Haley interviews Tom Sellars. Tom Sellars is CEO of Sellars, a leading manufacturer of commercial and consumer green products: kitchen paper towels, shop towels, disposable wipers, bathroom towels & tissues and absorbents that are made with recycled fibers. Founded in 1985 in Milwaukee, Sellars is a first-generation start-up with four siblings each having contributed greatly to the company’s success. They are deeply committed to and passionate about the environment with products made predominantly with recycled and renewable input materials that leave a smaller ecological footprint than comparable products made with virgin materials. Under Tom Sellar's visionary leadership, Sellars is introducing Bravo® – a high-performing kitchen towel that is made with up to 90% post-consumer curbside recycled boxes and paper waste. Unlike the leading brands that are bulky and full of air, Bravo comes in a compressed, space-saving format, which has a smaller environmental footprint. A nationally recognized forward-thinking and planet-friendly voice, Tom Sellars co-founded Concerts for the Environment. For eight years, he was the volunteer Board Chair for the national non-profit that utilized music to raise awareness and funds for the environment. In this role, he was instrumental in producing large-scale concerts including Earth Day on the D.C. Mall and worked with more than 100 famous musicians, including Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Queen Latifah and REM. Tom Sellars is also a co-founder, investor, and Board Chair of r.Cup, the leading re-use company that is eliminating single use plastic cups and serveware at concerts, festivals, sporting events, museums and aquariums throughout North America. Notably, the product was launched with U2.
