Please join Glenn Atkinson (Texas) with Co-Hosts Gary Rumer (North Dakota), and Co-Host Glenn Baxter (Texas) on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11 AM - 1 PM CST., as we welcome David Goetz, "Major Dave" as he is commonly known around the state of NC. Major Dave is a native of Raleigh, NC and a retired US Army officer. His military career included initial service as a Military Police Investigator, both in the US and overseas, before returning to NC in 1980 to join the NC National Guard and pursue a degree. He was selected for Officer Candidate School and received his commision as a Second Lieutenant in 1982 as an Honor Graduate of his class. He received his BA degree in Sociology the following month from NC State University. He is a former Assistant Professor at NC A&T State University in Greensboro and has been a recurring Guest Instructor at both the National Guard's Professional Education Center in North Little Rock, AR and at the US Army Command & General Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth, KS where he taught courses in Organizational Effectiveness, Military History, Personnel Management and Leadership. He is the Past Commander of American Legion Post #187 in Wake Forest, NC, is a Fellow at The Institute of Political Leadership in Greensboro and is a recipient of the North Carolina Civilian Meritorious Service Medal for his continued support of the National Guard since his retirement. He is self-employed as an International Business Development Consultant, and lives with his wife, JoAnn, in Youngsville, NC.
