Anne Scott serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation. As President, Anne is responsible for directing all Foundation programs and activities and administering its staff. She serves as an ex officio member of the Foundation’s Governing Board to which she reports. Anne ensures that the mission of the Foundation is carried out through expanding relationships with the community. She is the primary contact with the Bama Works Fund of Dave Matthews Band in CACF.

Ms. Scott came to CACF in November of 2013 with more than 15 years’ experience working with private foundations and other philanthropic organizations both internationally and in the U.S. Most recently, she was the Executive Director of Programs at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation in London, England.  Prior to that, she was Vice-President for Global Programs for ChildFund International in Richmond, Virginia. During her career, she has worked with women, children, and youth and in health, social protection, education, and the arts.
 
Ms. Scott completed her Ph.D. and Bachelor of Arts degrees at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an MBA from the Canterbury Business School at the University of Kent, England.
