Amy Sarah, a recent appointee to the new Human Rights Commission in Charlottesville, found a passion for LGBTQ rights and education at age 16, when she participated in the ROSMY youth support group and performed outreach to area high schools. Since then, she has served as a ROSMY facilitator, conducted sexual education outreach, and has been organizing LGBTQ community events and forums in the Charlottesville area for over four years. With an MFA in Creative Writing/Poetry, expertise in online content strategies and public relations, and several years of professional experience building effective web content for nonprofit and educational organizations, Amy Sarah brings an enthusiastic and creative vision to the Cville Pride project.
