Dr. Fuchs received her undergraduate degree from the University of California San Diego.  She earned her doctorate at the University of Houston and completed an internship in Clinical Psychology at the University of Chicago Medical Center.  She then came to Virginia for a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Virginia. She is currently an Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology in and is affiliated with the UVA Memory & Aging Care Clinic. She is board certified in clinical neuropsychology and she does cognitive assessments of individuals who have concerns about the onset of dementia.  She has research interests in non-memory cognitive changes with aging and in the cognitive effects of caregiver stress.
