Megan Marlatt is the director of The Big Head Brigade, LLC, an artist collective that makes and exhibits “capgrossos”, papier-mache’ costume heads traditionally designed for Catalonian festivals and street parades. Her group, made up of professional artists, Uva students and alumni, have participated in performances and arts events dressed as larger-than-life devils, angels, mice, dogs, rappers, art critics and beret-wearing artists.  These festivals include Art in Odd Places-FREE in New York City, Dumbo Arts Festival in Brooklyn, SkowheganPERFORMS at Socrates Park in Long Island City, NY and Art in Odd Places-NUMBER in Greensboro, NC.  This past June they marched through the streets of Prague in the TRIBES Exhibition, a part of the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space.
