The premier of "Monroe Hill" on Friday, November 6th is just around the corner.

The documentary by Eduardo Montes-Bradley offers an unprecedented overview of president Monroe’s first farm in Albemarle County, cradle of the University of Virginia unveiling the history of the last remaining structures of this late-18th-century plantation, serving as a silent witness to Monroe’s struggle as a farmer and politician.

Few days to go, and just a handful of tickets left at Virginia Film Festival's Box Office. Get yours as soon as possible.

Introduction by Stephen Plaskon (U.Va.), and discussion with director Eduardo Montes-Bradley, Sara Bon-Harper, William Ferraro, Louis Nelson (U.Va.), and Dan Preston funder and editor of The Papers of James Monroe.
