Anne G'Fellers-Mason is a native of East Tennessee, a blue dot in a red state. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and History from Mars Hill University in 2007, her Master of Arts in History from East Tennessee State University in 2013, and her Master of Fine Arts in Playwriting in 2016. Since 2008, Anne has worked for the Heritage Alliance of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, a small non-profit that works to preserve the history and cultural heritage of the northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia region. Through her work, Anne combines her research skills with her playwriting skills to create original, local history based plays that engage audiences in new ways and help them appreciate the history all around them. Her biggest goal in life is always to be sure that history never repeats itself. She lives in Jonesborough, TN, the oldest town in the Volunteer State, with her husband and two cats.
