Workshop Wednesdays with host Tony Gambone and his guest Patrick Huff and Michael Modzelewski:
A. Patrick Huff, B. S., T.C.U. / M. Ed., Sam Houston State University / Ph.D. Prairie View A&M University. Patrick Huff served in the public schools in Texas from 1973-2007, as a teacher, and administrator. He retired after 34 years in the profession as a teacher, assistant principal and principal. During those years he was immersed in the testing regime that grew into No Child Left Behind, and became acutely aware of the high stakes, intense atmosphere that was pervasive in driving all school decisions that were academic in nature.
Michael Modzelewski is the author of ANGELES CREST, about ultramarathon running and metaphysics; NORTH THROUGH PARADISE, describing varied adventures in Alaska; and INSIDE PASSAGE: LIVING WITH BALD EAGLES, KILLER WHALES AND KWAKIUTL INDIANS, about his experiences on a wilderness island in the Inside Passage to Alaska, was filmed as a Docu-Drama for PBS-TV. After living "date-less" on the wild island, upon returning to civilization, Michael was startled to find he was chosen Cosmopolitan Magazine's "Bachelor of The Month" and "Man of The Year," as well as AlaskaMen Magazine's centerfold story (keeping his parka on, but getting a staple in his navel). After receiving 5,000 letters from women around the world, he married one of the correspondents. Michael's latest book, WILD LIFE: THE MISS--ADVENTURES OF A COSMO BACHELOR is attracting rave reviews from everyone except his mother.
