The rise of consumers who choose to heal their bodies with alternative medicine rather than conventional medicine are forced to face regulation of supplements and many changes to the food chain. The Amazonian tribes rely heavily on nature for its medicinal power to heal their body, mind and spirit without any regulations imposed upon them. They are living longer healthier lives. The oldest living human is 121 years old. An indigenous Amazonian female.

Dr. Jenna Jorgensen, a Naturopathic Physician and founder of Northwest Life Medicine Clinic and your host Layla Helena Smolock discuss this most important topic facing North Americans today - The Future of Natural Health

Special Guest, Dr. Jenna is a naturopathic physician and founder of Northwest Life Medicine Clinic in Bellingham, WA, a multidisciplinary wellness centre with a collaborative approach integrating naturopathic medicine, nutrition, neurofeedback, and biofeedback to help people live life well.  With a background in community health education, she obtained her medical degree from Bastyr University followed by two years of residency at Emerald City Clinic in Seattle, WA.  Over her years of practice, she has developed a passion for environmental medicine, integrative mental health and neuroendocrinology, and lifestyle medicine.  She believes compassionate listening and education are key for instilling hope in her patients which is the first step needed for lasting, and sustainable, health and healing. She works with patients of all genders and ages and most commonly works with folks to treat the underlying cause of their fatigue, anxiety, depression, digestive complaints, and hormone imbalances. In her spare time, she can be found tending to her urban garden or exploring the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest via bike, foot, paddle, or ski with her husband and four-legged sidekick, Indie.
