WORLDWIDE ORGANIZATIONS GIVING BACK THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

DALLAS & FORT WORTH GREAT ACTIVITIES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON, Today with two worldwide organizations. WFWP with Laura Andrews Hornbeck grew up in the Dallas, Texas area. She earned a BA in English from the University of North Texas and has worked as a teacher, public library director, and professional editor and writer. She served as Texas director of the Women’s Federation for World Peace USA (WFWP) from 2001 to 2015. She co-edited the 30th anniversary commemorative book for WFWP International published in 2022. Laura is currently the DFW representative for Global Women’s Peace Network, a project of WFWP. Along with Valerie Ballard, OPERATION TINY HOUSE with Valerie Ballard.  a visionary and experienced leader with a passion for serving people.  She is the Founder and Executive Director of Operation Tiny House.  She has a passion for real estate and community development.  Valerie is an experienced nonprofit professional with many talents.  She has been involved in marketing, building, developing, and consulting on tiny house developments for the past 5 years. Valerie built her own tiny house in Dallas, TX at the age of 29 and still lives in the property.  Valerie secured millions of dollars in sponsorship to revitalize housing in South and East Dallas neighborhoods.  Her passion to develop and revitalize communities has been a central part of her life from an early age.  Her goal is to create a positive lasting impact on workforce housing for veteran communities.  Valerie is currently working on a 100+-unit tiny house community for veterans who are experiencing homelessness in the University Hills District.
