No upbringing is the same, however, no matter the upbringing mother-daughter relationships are important. A lot of people don’t take the time to innerstand their parents did the best that they could at the time and it’s okay to grow past that. Sometimes you have to grow past the mother-daughter relationship due to the toxicity of it all. 

Healthy mother-daughter relationships are full of positivity and love. They don't put each other down or use guilt to manipulate.
