Helping Children Succeed in School and Life with Dr. Stephanie Mihalas

Dr. Stephanie Mihalas is a licensed psychologist and a nationally certified school psychologist. She specializes in childhood development and assessment of neurodevelopmental functioning, parent training, and family therapy and school consultation. Dr. Mihalas is also a Registered Yoga Teacher and a Reiki Practitioner practicing both modalities for over 10 years. In addition Dr. Stephanie will address a few key topics related to parent-child relationships, mental health, and youth in schools. She will both take an ecological and developmental perspective suggesting that the child and family will be understood in a cross-section of contexts: the context of stages of development intertwined with an environmental perspective. In addition, she will be discussing key areas that are affecting our communities right now including bullying, the media, and how children with developmental disabilities may be helped by clinicians/parents/schools. Also, how a well-rounded and grounded approach supports individuals with special needs.
