Welcome everyone to the Voice of Change. I'm Sharon Ann Wikoff your host. Larry Kiser joins me today for this discussion about the role of a Guru? Although I had been on the spiritual path for several decades, I had never sought out having a Guru. However, once I met Sat Shree and became involved in following his Teachings and came to understand the role the Guru played, he organically became my Guru, my Teacher. In this series of programs this month, I've talked about the importance of seeing the "bigger picture" of becoming aware of what we may not be aware of. Often, we think the only Truth is what we are aware of...our surroundings, our beliefs, our world. When I met Sat Shree and heard him speak in person as well as listening to the numerous recordings and videos he has on his website, I soon realized that he was speaking of a deeper Truth than I had ever been aware of previously. It was very humbling! And at the same time, very inspiring! I came to know that he had traveled the entire distance, from human consciousness to divine consciousness and could support others traveling on that path. At that point, there was no doubt that I wanted his support on my journey.
Larry Kiser a former federal prosecutor, school board member, teacher, and follower of the teaching of the Course of Love, the Course of Miracles and the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda lives in Nevada City and spends several days a week with his Guru, Sat Shree near Reno, Nevada. Although I had never sought out having a guru, however, when I met Sat Shree, a part of me knew that this one knew a greater truth and love than I had experienced and I wanted it. I felt drawn to this like a bear to honey. There was no real choice. From that point on there has been a continuous unfolding of the identification with the force the Guru carries.
